Sixth Form Raise Funds for the Royal British Legion
Back
The Royal British Legion have thanked Sixth Form pupils for raising £281 by selling poppies. You can read their letter below:
On behalf of our Armed Forces community, I’d like to thank you for your kind gift of £281.00. It’s wonderful to know that serving and ex-serving personnel have your support, and your generosity will enable us to help even more people in need.
Your donation could be a lifeline for serving and ex-serving members of the Armed Forces and their families. It will help us provide vital services – from rehabilitation and recovery, financial and employment support, to expert guidance on housing, rights and pensions, as well as care homes for older veterans and support with independent living.
The Royal British Legion was established in 1921 to care for those who had suffered as a result of service during the First World War. And, thanks to the amazing support of people like you, we’re still here for members of the Armed Forces community – whenever they need us, and for as long as they need us. We are determined that no one who has served will be disadvantaged because of the sacrifices they have made.
