Job Title:    Teaching Assistant – Level 3 specialising and leading in literacy.

Hours:        35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

                    08.30am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday

Weeks:       39 weeks per annum. Term time plus teacher training days

Grade/Points: Grade H, points 14-17.

Salary:        Actual salary based on the above terms is £24,458.04 per annum - £26,568.63 per annum

                   Starting point will be dependent on experience

Start date:  As soon as possible

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months in the first instance

An opportunity has become available to join our talented team of committed and dedicated professional TA’s who work with the class teachers to support students in and out of the classroom setting. Our team of TA’s are kind, patient and compassionate individuals who work on building lasting relationships with our students.

We would like to hear from you if you have a proven passion for supporting students with specific complexities. The role offered is a senior teaching assistant role, the successful candidate will share the same values as our existing team of professional TA’s and will be able to demonstrate through application and interview a passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning specifically in literacy.

You will have experience or be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of running small intervention groups with KS3 students, leading on literacy interventions. You will be a confident and articulate communicator that is able to liaise with teaching staff, parents/carers and where necessary external agencies.
