Aylesford School Warwick is a successful Academy, now providing education on a single site to pupils aged 4 to 18, Reception through to Sixth Form.

Aylesford School is seeking to appoint an inspirational part-time Teacher of Mathematics from September 2024; applicants would be required to meet a minimum expectation of a 0.4FTE in order to meet the needs of the timetable, however, this can be increased up to a 0.6/0.7FTE for the right candidate. The position would be suitable for an experienced teacher, and a newly qualified ECT. There is potential for a TLR for an experienced teacher.

The successful applicant will hold a degree in Mathematics or other relevant subjects and will be able to teach Maths to students from Years 7 to 13; Further Maths at A Level would be desirable but not essential. 

Applicants will be passionate about their subject and have the skills to communicate this enthusiasm to our pupils in teaching Mathematics throughout the school. The successful applicant will want to impact positively on pupil achievement through the delivery of first class lessons. They will also wish to contribute outside the department to both the pastoral and extra-curricular spheres of our pupils’ education.

The Maths Department

The Maths department has a strong Head of Department who is supported by an experienced team of 8 Teachers of Mathematics, with two members being responsible for KS3 and KS5.

The Maths department are an inclusive and social department with a strong team ethos. A Friday afternoon maths game over lunch is essential!
